The Department of Veterans Affairs is building a five-story Health Care Clinic at 32nd Street and Van Buren. The Clinic is set to open in late 2021, and there are currently many construction crews on site.
Amongst those crews is Rosendin Electric, whose history has a unique tie to our military and veterans. Rosendin’s founder, Moses Rosendin, served in the U.S. Navy during the Great War and was too old to reenlist during WWII, so instead, he rallied on the forefront to support war efforts. He turned what was then Rosendin Motor Works from its largely agricultural market towards supporting military needs by accepting contracts at cost from shipyards that sprang to life around San Francisco Bay.
Sixty years later, Rosendin is still giving back to veterans. The company actively recruits men and women who are leaving the military to join them. They also host a golf tournament to raise funds to benefit the Navy SEAL Foundation, a nonprofit which provides immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and its families.

“What Rosendin is contributing to this project are value and quality, and I feel happy knowing I can continue to serve my brothers and sisters who have served their country,” said Robert Villegas, U.S. Air Force veteran and Assistant Project Manager at Rosendin.
Villegas isn’t the only one who knows how much career support means. The company finds this relationship with veterans to be a part of its culture.

Rosendin has a regional office in Tempe that is overseeing the electrical work on the VA Clinic, including the power and conduits, security system, communication system, and other components.
